My dear City Council members,
Happy New Year!
I am writing you today as I know you are considering a change in our trash company for Sebastopol.
I know it is hard to balance the budget in a small town, however, moving as way from Recology and it's long history as an employee owned company is not only bad for our communities, but also the broader economy. In an age of corporate consolidation, where so few people own so much, we have a duty to support employee owned businesses.
Furthermore, towns that lose their identity with switches like this, will lose revenue and population.
Keeping Recology is in the best interest of all of us.
