To whom it may concern,
I want to write my support for a bike path to Apple Blossom through town. My family moved to this area 10 years ago as a biking family. Two of my children attend Orchard View, on the same campus as Apple Blossom and I used to ride them there from Graton. The roads were not fun to ride on and once my children were old enough to ride on their own, I worried about them. I trusted them. It was the cars that made me nervous. Having safe routes for folks to ride and walk encourages those paths to be taken. It offers independence to children in a safe way and builds strong communities. Apple Blossom campus is also used by the Westco soccer folks so there are lots of different groups using that one campus throughout the week. Parking can be very full on the campus and having safe bike routes can benefit many.
Thanks for reading my throughs,
Stephanie Elliott
