Dear members of the council,
I read the article in the Sebastopol Times regarding Zollman’s new rules for the press. As you know, freedom of the press is a revered tradition in American democracy, and the founding fathers were adamant on its importance to a government by representation and the continued success of a democracy for the people. Given what is going on right now at the national level, I am especially sensitive to this issue. Don’t be them! Freedom of the press is essential.
I object strongly to the new “rules”.
Respectfully,
Eileen Mathias
