Hi. I'm a resident of Sebastopol. And I want to address the new press rules. This is a huge red line for me. To the point that if they continue to exist, I will not vote for anyone on the council who approves.
In fact, it likely would inspire me to campaign actively against all of you.
Openness to the press should be a hallmark of Sebastopol city government. Dare I say this move is very on brand with the current Trumpian political atmosphere.
Please don't go there. Sunshine is the best solution to the city's many issues.
Thanks for your time, and I very much hope to read that the rules have been rescinded as of the next council meeting.
