Who is responsible for collecting sales tax?
Who is responsible for collecting sales tax at the farmer’s market? As the Farmer’s Market moves toward selling goods and other taxable items, who is responsible for collecting the sales tax? Who sets up all the different vendors to make sure that sales tax is collected? As Sebastopol is in a period of declining revenue, it seems critical that sales tax is collected at every opportunity.
Who is in charge? What is the system to collect sales tax at the farmer’s market, especially as you have shifting vendors?
