A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEBASTOPOL
AUTHORIZING THE GRANT APPLICATION, ACCEPTANCE, AND EXECUTION FOR “Bringing Back Calder Creek Phase I” at Ives Park
WHEREAS, THE CITY OF SEBASTOPOL proposes to implement “Bringing Back Calder Creek Phase I” at Ives Park;
WHEREAS, THE CITY OF SEBASTOPOL has the legal authority and is authorized to enter into a funding agreement with the State of California; and
WHEREAS, THE CITY OF SEBASTOPOL intends to apply for grant funding from the California Department of Water Resources for the “Bringing Back Calder Creek Phase I” at Ives Park; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF SEBASTOPOL as follows:
1. That pursuant and subject to all of the terms and provisions of the Budget Act of 2021 (Stats. 2021, ch. 240, § 81) and the California Drought, Water, Parks, Climate, Coastal Protection, and Outdoor Access For All Act of 2018 (Pub. Resources Code, § 80000 et seq.), the CITY OF SEBASTOPOL CITY MANAGER, or designee is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and file an application for funding with the Department of Water Resources, and take such other actions as necessary or appropriate to obtain grant funding.
2. The CITY OF SEBASTOPOL CITY MANAGER, is hereby authorized and directed to execute the funding agreement with the Department of Water Resources and any amendments thereto.
3. The CITY OF SEBASTOPOL CITY MANAGER, is hereby authorized and directed to submit any required documents, invoices, and reports required to obtain grant funding.
4. The CITY OF SEBASTOPOL designates the California Urban Stream Partnership to draft and submit the “Bringing Back Calder Creek” Urban Streams Grant request, obtaining permission from City staff to review and approve the final application prior to submission.
CERTIFICATION I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted by the CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF SEBASTOPOL at the meeting held on April 15, 2025 motion by Councilmember Maurer (moved) and Councilmember Carter seconded the motion to approve Resolutions Bringing Back Calder Creek Phase 1 Ives Park: motion passed by the following vote:
