Dear Council Members and City Staff,
The residents and businesses are financially supporting affordable housing to detriment of their own City Services.
The current budget shows this costs for Park Village which total $123,910 $54,600 Park Village Management Contract Service (4210) $4725 Park Village Maintenance and Repairs (4213)
$64,585 Park Village LEASE Costs (Item 72)
In addition, taxpayers are paying $40,000 Homeless Outreach Coordinator.
This is absurd when residents cannot even get a simple fence replaced in Ives Park! This is ridiculous when the City’s roads needs to fund the Roads at at least $1,000,000 per year.
WCCS is a non-profit. They can raise money from donors and grants. They charge rent. Why are the citizens of Sebastopol footing the bill?
Voters were told that Park Village was going to be a park. Now it is private residences.
Please ask WCCS to pay their fair share.
