greetings,
I attended the first Sebastopol Porchfest last year and was amazed.
It was an incredible vibe. One key thing was that was intentionally not commercial. Just enjoying some music, played on porches or driveways, in a local neighborhood. No pressure to buy anything.
I left the experience hoping that year 2 would happen.
The permit fees proposed by city of Sebastopol for year 2 are rather high. especially for a volunteer group working to organize an excellent grassroots event that enhances Sebastopol's reputation.
Please consider waiving the >$3000 permit fees (and police offcer fees) for this event. As someone who organizes grassroots shoe-string budget events myself, it makes a huge difference.
Thanks for your consideration.
