After reading Kyle’s public comment, it seems there might be a question about granting our Vice-Mayor a leave?
Seriously?
This is a perfunctory vote, anyone who has been on a committee, commission, etc. knows that.
It is a no brainer, it is what you do when a colleague has a health issue. Actually, it is what the Sebastopol City Council has done many times in the past - once for 3 months, if I remember correctly.
We are PeaceTown. This council has been so compassionate, understanding and caring about the homeless.
Just the mere hint of anyone voting against a medical leave is antithetic to the City of Sebastopol.
I encourage you to vote to authorize this leave.
