Hi there,
I will not be able to attend tomorrow's city council meeting, but I did want to send a note to say, as someone who just recently moved to Sebastopol (with my wife and two kids, 2 y.o. and 6 y.o.), I would be bummed to see Sebastopol be swallowed up into the corporate sameness that defines (or rather, doesn't define) so many of America's cities and towns.
There have to be more creative solutions for supporting local businesses in the downtown area. I'd also note that many do seem to be thriving.
And dare I say: maybe usurious rents are part of the problem that the council can, directly or indirectly, try to impact?
Thanks for your work on behalf of the city,
Matthew Nelson
