North Bay Animal Services (NBAS) Monthly Report –
October 2025
The NBAS facility was inspected by Chief McDonagh on the 30th October, 2025 as part of the requirements set by the city council in response to a recent Grand Jury report into the facility.
Chief McDonagh met with front counter staff from NBAS at the facility and was provided a tour of the facility and all rooms associated.
The facility was clean, organized and operational, with staff from the facility in the process of assisting customers during the inspection. The work being performed in September by contractors associated with concerns about ventilation in the Grand Jury report appeared completed and operational.
In considering concerns stated in the Grand Jury report, no concerns were identified during the inspection of the facility.
