Subject: Why not Trader"s Joes?! Grocery Outlet Public Comment Date: Friday, February 13, 2026 4:52:36 PM
Dear Council Members,
I live near Freestone and like many residents of this area am shocked by the high cost of living. We need more affordable everything, but especially food. I drive all the way to Trader Joe’s in Santa Rosa, as do many people I know, for affordable and healthy food options. Trader Joes has quality food, cleaning supplies, vitamins, and more at super low prices. TJs is inclusive of people with dietary restrictions (I have celiacs and I have friends who are vegan) and those who are parents, single-person households / elderly (they have a lot of healthy prepared meals for busy or ability-challenged folks). If you want to bring in affordable and convenient food options, you’re barking up the wrong tree with the Grocery Outlet bid. Get a TJs in here. PLEASE. I’m tired of polluting my way through Sebastopol to get to one.
Warm Regards,
Andrea Vander Pluym
