Dear Sebastopol City Council member,
I am a longtime resident of Sebastopol.
I want to make it known that I am against the plans / idea of returning to the 2-way traffic in our downtown.
I bought my home on Jesse Street in 1999. I do all of my shopping in town, I drive regularly through town, I walk through town. The one-way traffic in town has been a wonderful improvement. Please do not make the mistake of going back to 2-way traffic in town. Please see the letter written by Lisa Pierce that was in the Sebastopol Times recently; I fully agree with her analysis and questions; waiting for cars to turn left creates a terrible back-up. Also I have thoroughly appreciated how the one-way traffic in town supports my safety in walking and shopping downtown. And it allows me to park in front of my favorite downtown shops for the time it takes to shop. Please do not upend our city by changing the roads yet again.
