Q: For the modified Planning Commission option- how wide are the sidewalks planned for Main Street? And how wide are they now?
A: Sidewalks on Main St from McKinley to Burnett are currently 10 ft on each side. Both Alt 3 (walkable One Way) and the PC Recommendation could add about 10 to 20 ft more of total sidewalk (if equally allocated to the east and west side of the street that would be 5 to 10ft more sidewalk on each side of the street (50% to 100% increase compared to existing). That extra space could be sidewalk, outdoor café/seating, landscaping, or a combination of all of that.
