Dear Council Members,
EcoRing is a nonprofit organization that promotes ecotourism and green travel in the North Bay.
Our Partners are businesses in the tourism industry in Sonoma, Marin and San Francisco counties. We also advocate for the infrastructure that would allow tourists to travel safely without their automobiles using rail transit and bicycle paths.
We urge the Council to convert some of the parking to attractive green spaces, bicycle parking and bus seating.
The costs of climate change have already been enormous and will increase in the future. It is mandatory that we discourage driving which produce carbon pollution while encouraging active transportation with bike parking and more off-road pathways.
Please bring this issues to the attention of all of the other Council Members. Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Executive Director
