Subject: Grocery Outlet Public Comment

To Sebastopol City Council:

There is NO PLACE for Grocery Outlet in Sebastopol!!! It does not align with many of the requirements set out in code SMC 17.340.070.C including complementing existing businesses, promoting diversity, economic vitality and does not harm Sebastopol's unique character.

Grocery Outlet would take business away from our long standing independent local stores that are community based resulting in a loss of jobs, reduced giving to our community through in kind donations, sponsorships and fundraising and reduced selection of healthy food options.

There are already 3 Grocery Outlets in neighboring towns, Santa Rosa, Petaluma and Rohnert Park. People have the option of shopping in those stores.

Let's look to other businesses to replace Rite Aid that would enrich our community and genuinely meet the Code's qualifications.

Thank you for honoring the Code referenced above and preserving our community here in Sebastopol.

Respectfully,
Susan Barozzi
