Subject: Soccer field downtown please
Hello City Council,
I hear there's a chance we can have a soccer field to fill the downtown lot across from the movie theater and the Square. I'm writing to let you know I'm in total support of that.
My 12-year-old son is in his fifth year playing soccer, and it's the one sport he plans on sticking with as he gets older. He's had excellent experiences playing Wesco soccer, met coaches he's revered, and made new friends with players, he even won a championship one season. The possibility of having a soccer field downtown is exciting to me, as it can give him easy access to a good place to play and would be a wonderful addition to the spirit of Sebastopol and what the town represents.
Can you make this happen?
And just throwing this out there... it'd also be nice to have a public basketball court in town. I'm surprised there isn't one.
Thanks for all you do!
