Subject: Support for Dedicated All-Season Soccer Fields in Sebastopol Dear Sebastopol City Council Members,
I'm writing to express our family's strong support for a dedicated all-season soccer field in Sebastopol. Although we live in Santa Rosa with our three children, we are in Sebastopol often and we would love to see this facility become a reality for our community.
As our kids grow, finding wholesome recreational options becomes increasingly important to us. Quality, accessible soccer fields are hard to come by and it’s an outrageously popular activity for boys and girls of many ages. School fields are limited in availability and local grass fields are often in rough shape, which makes it difficult for kids to play consistently and safely.
Soccer has a unique way of building teamwork, confidence, and a sense of belonging in young people. A dedicated facility in Sebastopol would be a tremendous asset not just for our family, but for families across Sonoma County who are looking for positive outlets for their children.
We hope the Council will support this effort. Thank you for your time and consideration.
