Dear City Staff and Council,
I applaud that Palm Avenue is on the Pavement list.
I ask that that small section of Palm also get a sidewalk.
With all the time and money spent on making Sebastopol pedestrian friendly and more walkable, an easy solution would be to put in a sidewalk on Palm between Petaluma Blvd and Main Street. This part of Palm Avenue sits between two major crosswalks.
Please put in a sidewalk and make it safe for pedestrians to use this small segment safely.
This part of Palm receives a significant amount of vehicular traffic due to people wanting to change directions, turning onto Petaluma from Main or vice versa. Having a clear sidewalk improve safety for pedestrians.
Please put in a sidewalk when you repave. You are improving the street, which is great. Let’s also take this chance to put in a sidewalk for people who want to walk between Main Street and Petaluma Blvd.
