Subject: One More Public Comment

Hi Mary,
Here's one last public comment!
Best,
Kate
Dear Council Members and City Staff,
Please do not increase Council pay until the Cost Allocation Plan is adjusted. Currently, Water and Sewer ratepayers are paying over 60% of Council costs. Obviously, this allocation does not reflect reality. Council does not spend 20% of their time on Water and Sewer. 61% is simply an outlandish claim for anyone who has regularly watched meetings.

Once Council time is correctly apportioned to Water and Sewer work, I would support a pay increase. I do think Council Members are under compensated for their time. Citizens not ratepayers need to be responsible for this increase as the Council spends the vast majority of their time on City business and a tiny fraction on Water and Sewer.

Best,
Kate Haug
