Subject: STOP HARASSING A BEAUTIFUL BUSINESS
I am absolutely furious to hear that the city is actively trying to shut down A&M BBQ. It is completely unacceptable that local government is targeting one of the best and most beloved eateries in the North Bay just because of a few complaints regarding early morning smoke.
Real BBQ requires long, slow hours of smoking. That is the nature of the business, and it is the exact reason this restaurant draws hungry lines and sells out of food daily. Instead of working with local, thriving small businesses to find reasonable compromises, the city seems intent on suffocating them with ridiculous bureaucratic red tape.
A&M BBQ brings flavor, culture, and business to Sebastopol. Harassing a hard-working pitmaster and disrupting their overnight smoking operations isn’t protecting the community; it is actively killing local commerce.
I urge you to drop this crusade against A&M BBQ immediately. Find a solution that supports this business instead of trying to legislate real cooking out of town.
