Dear City Council members,
My name is Brooks Nelson, and I am a Sebastopol native and a member of the Analy Class of 1986. My family has been Sebastopol Natives since 1941, and I have had the pleasure of eating at AMBBQ on several occasions. When I learned of a community member's complaint about the smoke, smell, etc., I was saddened to hear such a negative and unneighborly comment about AMBBQ. I personally feel it was unprovoked and that they shouldn't be punched or forced out of the brick and mortar they are currently in, since it would be a huge financial burden, mentally and emotionally, for them as well.
AMBBQ has fully supported the community in so many situations, including events and other aspects of serving the community. They do it for the kindness and warmth of their hearts. I think it would be wrong for the City of Sebastopol to force the unnecessary removal of an active and supportive company that has had growing pains like many other start-up businesses in the area and community. It would be fullish and unjustified. Let's keep supporting AMBBQ as they have done for you, the City of Sebastopol.
