Subject: Please do the right thing
Dear Councilors :
Although we don’t live in Sebastopol, we hope you will do thr right thing for all of us, and support A and M Barbeque.
We are 82 and 79 years old, respectively, we live in Petaluma and yet are willing to drive to Sebastopol for what is clearly the best barbecue in Northern California.
But it’s not just the food. The service is exceptional. Here is one example of the welcoming attitude at this restaurant. One day my wife had delivered her paintings to the Sebastopol Center and realized that she could pick up some of that delicious food on her way back to Petaluma. She arrived just a few minutes after closing and was dejectedly preparing to leave and get home and break the bad news to me, when an employee spotted her, opened the door and explained that they were just cleaning up but that there were various items still available. And not only did she get a wonderful assortment of what was left, she was given a slight discount for them.
That is the business that every community should want. We wish they were closer to us, but Sebastopol should not miss this opportunity to benefit from such a wonderful place.
Thank you for your attention to this plea. We will be coming to the Barbeque this weekend. YUM.
Sincerely, Dean (82) and Marilyn(79) Dizikes
