Subject: A&M barbecue
Dear Honorable Council Members,
I have recently learned that there is an issue with the A&M barbecue in town, and that the business may have to shut down. It’s a little bit ironic that I learned this through the grapevine right after I had read about the high quality of their foods in a Press Democrat article.
I have found A&M to be a friendly ray of sunshine located in Sebastopol’s “no man’s land” stretch of 116 between Grateful Bagel and Patterson Automotive. The fact that they have transformed a nondescript, architecturally bereft building into a celebrated barbecue restaurant that sells out before folks can get their orders in is an absolute miracle.
I regret that I do not know the details of the situation. However, I would urge the city of Sebastopol to support the talented and hardworking entrepreneurs who have invested in growing A&M in our town. It would be a shame if they had to leave if there is a chance that they could be supported to stay.
Thank you for recording my comment.
