Subject: Support for A&M BBQ
To the Sebastopol City Council,
I am writing in strong support of A&M BBQ and owner Kris Austin.
As a customer who has eaten at A&M BBQ many times, I have seen firsthand the positive impact this small business has had on the Sebastopol community. Kris Austin is not only a talented business owner and pitmaster, but also someone who actively contributes to the community and works hard to create a welcoming place for residents and visitors alike.
A&M BBQ has become a destination in Sonoma County because of the dedication, long hours, and investment Kris and his team have put into building a successful local business.
Small businesses like this are an important part of what makes Sebastopol vibrant and unique. They create jobs, bring people together, and contribute to the local economy.
I understand that concerns have been raised by nearby residents, and I believe those concerns deserve thoughtful consideration. At the same time, I hope the City Council will work collaboratively with Kris to find reasonable solutions and provide adequate time and flexibility for the business to adapt or relocate if necessary.
It would be a loss for Sebastopol to push out a locally owned business that has brought so much positive attention, community engagement, and economic activity to the area. Kris Austin has demonstrated that he wants to be a good neighbor and a positive force in the community, and I believe he deserves fair treatment and support from the city.
Please consider the many residents and customers who value A&M BBQ and want to see this small business continue to succeed.
