Hello Council Members,
I wanted to let you know I appreciate your adoption/approval of the Caltrans grant project. I know it doesn’t surprise you that I support the final plan. But I do honestly believe that this will be a great and transformational project for downtown when it is completed. I’m excited to assist in keeping the momentum going and help plan for the next steps. This project will reinvigorate downtown, supporting existing businesses and encouraging future development.
I know the path has not been without controversy which was to be expected. And not everyone is going to be happy at the end of the day. Many people do not like change. But this will be great for the community.
And there are many people that are supportive of the adopted plan. I had conversations on the street just this morning with 3 people that are excited about the project, and specifically the 2-way street component. This is the kind of project that will create a thriving, vibrant, financially stable Sebastopol.
And while it will take some time, I can’t wait to get it done!
