Subject: Sebastopol Downtown Redesign
Dear Mr. Jay,
As a Sebastopol resident, I would like to register my strong opposition to the notion of bringing in another grocery store chain to occupy the Rite Aid site downtown. We already have 3 major chain stores--whole Foods, Safeways, and Lucky's--as well as smaller, more local stores--Fircrest, Community Market, and Pacific Market, and Andy's, there are more than ample food shopping options available. The need for more is NOT there.
Increasing traffic this close to downtown is sheer idiocy.
Our tax base is increasing with all the new housing being built, so this is not a justification.
We do NOT want our town to become a mini Santa Rosa!
Sincerely,
Harry Jergesen
