hi this is judith gilbert i'd like to leave a public comment for the council meeting coming up umm a year ago i was thrown to the ground by the special police and taken to jail they said i was under the influence of drugs or alcohol they couldn't tell either they did not give me a breathalyzer they did not give me any drug test i was suƯering dehydration i'm a senior there should be a protocol in fact i think there is a county wide protocol that i should have been taken to a hospital to get saline that impacted that i was taken oƯ the rolls i'm a substitute teacher for the county education preemptively i've just found out that i can finally seal the record as of next monday but because i wasn't arrested i was just detained i could not appeal or quash the motion it was just i have a rap sheet what my request to the council is we need a police oversight commission i asked for body cam footage i have never seen it never been given any umm copy of it so i have this cloud hanging over me it's $32,000 of revenue that i made uh income that i made the previous year for substitute teaching i assume i would had have had about that much so 32 K was impacted and there's been such a rotating kaleidoscope of people in the police chief we need to have the citizens oversee it i was at the dog park hearing so many stories of how the police has done this and that and this and that and there's no place to go so i know you did a study in 21 and i said oh it's going to take time time has elapsed and it was not better so judith gilbert that's my public comment please put this on your agenda for the july whatever it is second meeting umm and i will be coming on zoom to participate thank you for your time
