Dear Planning Commissioners and City Council Members,

I continue to support maintaining the unique character of downtown Sebastopol and respectfully urge the City to deny the proposed Grocery Outlet project at the former Rite Aid site.

Sebastopol's General Plan envisions a vibrant downtown supported by a diverse mix of businesses and seeks to protect the economic vitality and character that make the community unique. With multiple grocery stores already serving the area, adding another grocery use at this location does not appear to further those goals.

I encourage the City to consider uses that would better support a balanced and walkable downtown and remain consistent with the vision established in the General Plan.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Alan Murakami
Sebastopol
