To all City Council members,
So I read in the paper about the problem with the black mold in the Sebastopol Library. In the article it stated that
1. Repair could cost upwards of $500,000 dollars.
2. That the Library is too small and that you are possibly look for a larger space.
According to the article in the Sebastopol Times, Mayor Zolloman said, "We need to really have a strong think about whether we’re going to approve $500,000 for a building we’re going to hope to get fixed with mold and dry rot to—to what?—be in a substandard place? It doesn’t even make mathematical sense to me.”
So with that said, my question is why not look at the empty Rite aid building in Sebastopol. It has good parking, is conveniently located, probably has more space than the current library and maybe does not need as much money to convert it to a library.
I would like to hear your thoughts on this as to what you think about moving the Sebastopol Library to the existing Rite Aid building.
Thank you,
Robin Casadidio.
