Subject: Farmer's Market
Attn: Paul Fritz and Mary Gourley
Greetings,
I am unable to attend the meeting about the Farmer's Market expansion because I will be at my business, but I do have concerns. Although I totally support the Farmer's Market, it does not bring more business to Main Street. We don't see foot traffic brought downtown from the Market, and losing more parking won't help our brick-and-mortar businesses succeed.

This year has already been a big challenge. Sales are slow, foot traffic is down, and I would hope the city would be looking for ways to support our local businesses rather than making it more challenging.

I would love to hear other options explored. Can we extend the Market to the lot across from the square? Can it move to Ives, which I know has been discussed before? I hope there is another solution to explore beyond taking away more parking and more business from the local shops that are already struggling.

Thanks,
Phoenix Oatfield
