Dear Sebastopol City Council:
People are saying that the LDS Church site at 8100 Valentine, Ave. is for sale again.
I would love that the City of Sebastopol to use the wonderful, well-equipped LDS building to provide both an updated Senior Center as well as a beautiful library. The building is huge, has kitchen and dining space, meeting rooms and huge rooms for library shelves and materials. AND the building is quality built and will free up the other library and senior site for a other more appropriate uses. I hate to see the 8100 Valentine building torn down when our town's people need their library and a bigger senior center. We currently have bus service to Valentine Av as well as ample parking and good walking/biking to 8100 Valentine Av as it is. It should be a rather fiscally reasonable conversion. It will be a shame to tear it down, and a shame that our City of Sebastopol does not provide an adequate senior center or even a library for our people.
