Hi Mary and Phil,
I'm writing because I'm not sure I can make it to tomorrow's meeting. I don't have help tomorrow and the meeting is scheduled during my hours of operation.
I want to start by saying that I appreciate the farmers and enjoy having a town market.
However, we need to figure out a solution that works for ALL of us. I saw the new notice for the meeting while watching one of my elderly clients walk in with her cane. She, like MANY of my clients, cannot come in if she can't find parking near us. Physically.
To take away so much of our already limited spots, kills our bussiness. That and the extra traffic.
I think it's great that the market wants to expand, however, this should not happen at the expense of other businesses. We are all trying to make our businesses succeed during challenging times. I believe this can be worked out and there is a way for us all to thrive.
I hope we can figure something out soon because we are all already so busy. I'd love for us all to support each other and find a real solution. To be clear, I don't think the market taking more parking for longer to the detriment of other businesses would be a fair outcome.
