Subject: O’Reilly building
To whom it may concern,
I am a member of the Sebastopol Senior Center. I joined in 2023 and currently I am a regular student of Garrett Chinn’s Tai Chi class.
The first time I walked into the Senior Center I was met with two women at their computers who smiled and said hello. I inquired about membership, the cafe, the schedule of classes and signed up immediately with my husband. By the way, there was a platter of warm cookies sitting at the check in table and I knew this senior center was for me.
My Tai Chi class is held at the Annex building because we outgrew the room at the senior center. I miss the people, the place, the cafe and my Senior Center community. I went to the presentation of the potential new facility and WOW, lovely.
I do hope that Sebastopol Senior Center, library, City Hall and other services are able to purchase the O’Reilly building so that I can be with the senior community I so enjoy.
Best,
Lu Hughes
