Subject: Proposed library repairs
Dear Manager Gourley and Council members,
Please do not approve the contract for library repairs at your meeting this week. I think it is foolhardy to invest in library repairs without fixing the leaky roof first. Multiple sources have predicted that there will be intense rains here this fall which are likely to saturate the interior areas that are proposed for repairs.
It would be a waste of taxpayers' money, in my opinion, to fix the interior without fixing the cause of the problem, as it is likely that the interior will have to be repaired again.
Please do not do the interior repairs until the roof leaks are investigated thoroughly and fixed.
Regards,
Avril Mablin
