Hello Sebastopol City Council,
I have not been able to attend any of the scoping meetings, but I did want to share this: as a resident who loves to walk to both the Senior Center and the library, I would deeply feel the loss of these two anchor places in downtown Sebastopol. I don't know if most people drive to these two places in town, but their location now is ideal for our wonderful, engaged, close-by neighborhoods. As well, the two organizations are a bit of "Real" in a town that is becoming very tourist and consumer oriented. I love that the Seniors can interact with Analy students, meals are provided and all the other great workshops, classes and presentations. A library (when it is fully
functional) can be a heartbeat in a town. I love our
library. But if it moves away, I probably won't be driving out to O'Reilly to visit. Ditto Senior Center. They are just such a wonderful part of the heart of our town and I hope they stay put.
Sincerely,
Mary Abbott
