Subject: City Council Meeting-discussion of the Commons Regarding the Decisions about the Commons
I am a senior and have lived in the area for decades.
I was part of the group of citizens invited to decide how to develop the concept of how to develop the Barlow and feel pretty good about what happened there. I don’t hasten to go to the Barlow but I think it was a decent idea to bring some income in for us from the tourist trade and doesn’t compromise our general city.
I've just recently been acquiring sufficient information about the Commons, since I haven’t felt inclined to go to meetings yet. Sandra Maurer brought useful information to us at BHO. And I just read a very well presented letter from Sarah Gurney.
As a consequence, I feel more inclined to move with the times, and follow the direction of using this space towards the inevitable growth, that can’t be resisted.
Most of our community originally felt we would feel better with enlarging the library site that now exists, but Sarah helped me understand the problem that presented. If we can use the daily bus we grateful have use of, as well as the parking the Commons site has, this might be for the good. I’m glad people are taking it on.
