I appreciate all that there are manyissues in front of you. That said, Ifeel compelled to weigh in on the matterof the recent racist behavior of students hanging out at Safeway, tauntinglocalresidentsand leavingoffensivegraffition thewalls behindSafeway. This is, indeed, a complexissue, and therefore,Ibelievemerits the input of many different voices. Sebastopolresidents havemanytalents and Ibelieveallowingtheseindividuals to share their skills, knowledge, and expertise on this subject would only benefit our community.
Therefore, Iam asking the Council members to allow for local residents to serve on your Ad Hoc committee to investigate solutions to this matter. Thank you all for your service.
