I have lived in Sebastopol for 45 years. I live near downtown Sebastopol and have many friends here. Sebastopol has plenty of grocery stores, seven total, as well as many discount grocery stores not far from Sebastopol, which we all have access to.
I believe that putting a grocery store in the middle of downtown would be a mistake. I live across the street from Pacific Market and the noise and traffic from large trucks near residential neighborhoods will worsen the traffic On 116 and streets like Pleasant Hill that already have speeding problems and accidents.
The parking lot at the Rite Aid location is important to downtown shopping. I am 69 and pickleball is a very sought after sport in this time, young and old. Why not consider something there for enhancing fitness activities for our residents? Sharon Daveiro
