To our esteemed City Council,
As a resident of Sebastopol living on Jewell Ave, here are my thoughts about the 2 plans for the Calder Creek area as it runs through Ives Park.
I believe it would be far more attractive to activate the approved plan for public access to Calder Creek in Ives Park. This would expand and enhance nature in the Park, providing relief from the traffic and business of the downtown area which already features many fine eateries.
I am against the idea of building a food court in Ives Park. Building yet another building in the Park and paving over more of the natural setting of the park is far less attractive than enhancing the natural sanctuary that can be achieved there.
Please reject the proposed food court idea.
