RESOLUTION NO. 2022-03-6668
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SIGNAL HILL, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE CITY'S AMENDED USE OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT CORONAVIRUS AID, RELIEF, AND ECONOMIC SECURITY ACT FUNDS (CDBG-CV) WHEREAS, on March 27, 2020, the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act was signed into law; and WHEREAS, the primary goals of the CARES Act are to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic; and WHEREAS, the City of Signal Hill (City) has received an allocation of $64,962 from the Los Angeles County Development Authority (LACDA) in federal CARES Act funds to attain these goals; and WHEREAS, on July 14, 2020, at a duly noticed Public Hearing, the City Council approved CARES Act funding in the amount of $64,962; and WHEREAS, LACDA administers the federal CDBG for Los Angeles County; and WHEREAS, the City has incorporated all comments received and responses thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SIGNAL HILL, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City hereby approves the CDBG-CV allocation of $64,962 for the following projects in the amount of $27,802 for the “Senior Food Distribution Program” and $37,160 for the “Family Food Distribution Program”.
Section 2. The City Manager of the City of Signal Hill or designated representative is authorized to execute all such documents, certificates, contracts, agreements, or other instruments as may be necessary or required to carry out the City’s Application, the implementation of the projects/programs set forth above, and the CDBG Program.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this resolution and shall file a copy of said application with the minutes of this City Council meeting.
