An Adjourned Regular Meeting of the Signal Hill City Council was held in-person and via video/teleconference on May 26, 2022 pursuant to the provisions of Government Code Section 54953 (as amended by AB 361).

Revi Elitzur, Signal Hill resident, commented on building permit fees. (5) BUDGET STUDY SESSION
a. BUDGET STUDY SESSION
City staff presented the preliminary budget for fiscal years 2022-23 (Year 1) and 2023-24 (Year 2) for City Council's review and discussion.
City Council asked questions and discussed the budget.
Charlie Honeycutt, Signal Hill resident, asked questions regarding the Police Department overview presentation.
Caylee Hong, Signal Hill resident, asked questions regarding the Water Capital May 26, 2022

Improvement Projects presentation.
City Clerk commented on Decision Package 1.
Juanita Matthews, Ron Settles Dedication Committee Chair, commented on Decision Package 2.
Jon-Stephen Scott and Pam Dutch Hughes, Diversity Coalition Committee (DCC) Members, and Fred Abdelnour, DCC Facilitator, commented on Decision Package 4.
City Clerk asked questions regarding Decision Packages 5 and 6.
Sonia Savoulian, Planning Commissioner, and Ms. Hong asked questions regarding Decision Package 9.
City staff and City Council addressed the questions posed by the public speakers.
City Council discussed the decision packages and provided staff with direction. (6) ADJOURNMENT
It was moved by COUNCIL MEMBER COPELAND and seconded by VICE MAYOR HANSEN, to adjourn tonight's meeting to the next regular meeting of the Signal Hill City Council to be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. (hybrid meeting format, including in-person, and video and teleconference participation options). Instructions to participate in the meeting will be provided on the meeting agenda.
