PROCEDURES RELATIVE TO PUBLIC HEARINGS
1. At the request of the Mayor, the City Clerk reports on the Form of Notice given:
Notices and ballots were delivered to LLMD residents by mail on April 27, 2022.
Notice was published in the Signal Tribune newspaper on June 3, 2022.
Notice was posted in accordance with Signal Hill Municipal Code Section 1.08.010 at City Hall, Signal Hill Library, Reservoir Park, and Discovery Well Park on or before June 3, 2022.
2. Mayor asks for a staff report, which shall be included in written materials presented to the City Council so that they can be received into evidence by formal motion.
3. Mayor declares the public hearing open.
4. Mayor invites those persons who are in favor of or opposition to the proposed assessment to speak.
5. Mayor requests the City Clerk to report on the ballots received during the 45-day notice period up to the public hearing.
6. Mayor announces that once the public hearing is closed, ballots will no longer be accepted, and this is the last opportunity to submit a ballot.
7. Mayor declares the public hearing closed.
8. Mayor directs the City Clerk to tabulate and report the results of the ballot measure.
9. Discussion by Council only.
10. City Clerk conducts Roll Call vote.
