Children’s Clinic using General Fund monies. The proposed funding for Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital serves uninsured/underinsured children of low-income Signal Hill families who are faced with life altering and serious illnesses. The proposed funding for The Children’s Clinic supports approximately 400 Signal Hill pediatric patients for approximately 1,000 clinic visits throughout the fiscal year.
Similar to other grant funding requirements, staff monitors and audits the programs for compliance but does not keep records or monitor individual health files.
Staff recommends entering into an agreement with Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital (Attachment A) and The Children’s Clinic (Attachment B) for a two-year term.
