ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 2022-06-1534 AMENDING SIGNAL HILL MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 1.14 - MUNICIPAL ELECTION
Summary:
Ordinance No. 2022-06-1534 was introduced at the City Council meeting of June 14, 2022 and is now presented for adoption.
Recommendation:
Adopt Ordinance No. 2022-06-1534, entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SIGNAL HILL, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING CHAPTER 1.14 OF THE SIGNAL HILL MUNICIPAL CODE - MUNICIPAL ELECTION Background and Analysis:
At the June 14, 2022 City Council meeting, the City Council introduced Ordinance No. 2022-06-1534, amending Signal Hill Municipal Code Chapter (SHMC) 1.14 - Municipal Election to be consistent with the language in the City Charter, as modified as a result of the implementation of Measure N as approved by voters in 2019. The Ordinance is now presented for adoption.
A summary of the Ordinance was posted in accordance with SHMC 1.08.010, and published in the Signal Tribune newspaper on June 17, 2022. Upon adoption of the Ordinance, the summary will be posted in accordance with SHMC 1.08.010, and published in the Signal Tribune newspaper.
Ordinance No. 2022-06-1534 will be published in its entirety on the City website.
