SWEARING-IN OF NEWLY ELECTED OFFICIALS
Summary:
The newly elected members of the Signal Hill City Council, City Clerk, and City Treasurer will be sworn into office.
Recommendation:
Have the newly elected officers sworn in as members of the City Council, City Clerk, and City Treasurer.
Fiscal Impact:
There is no fiscal impact associated with the recommended action.
Strategic Plan Objective:
Goal No. 6: Promote a transparent and open government.
Background and Analysis:
Article 20, Section 3 of the California Constitution requires that before entering upon the duties of their respective offices, all public officers shall take and subscribe to an oath of office.
Senior Deputy City Clerk will swear-in newly elected Council Members, City Clerk, and City Treasurer.
