RESOLUTION CERTIFYING THE CANVASS OF THE NOVEMBER 8, 2022
GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
Summary:
The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk has certified the results of the November 8, 2022 General Municipal Election. The City Council will adopt a resolution reciting this fact.
Recommendation:
Adopt a resolution, entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SIGNAL HILL, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 8, 2022,
DECLARING THE RESULTS AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS PROVIDED BY LAW Fiscal Impact:
There is no fiscal impact associated with the recommended action.

Background and Analysis:
The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RRCC) has completed its certification of the November 8, 2022 General Law and Charter Cities Elections. Pursuant to California Elections Code Section 9269, upon completion of the canvass of votes, the City Council shall pass a resolution reciting the fact of the election. Nos 2022-06-6681 through 2022-06-6685, the General Municipal Election held on November 8, 2022, consolidated with the County of Los Angeles was held in accordance with established laws and procedures governing the conduct of elections. The RRCC has certified the results of the election and provided the City with the Certificate of Election Results and a complete Statement of Vote (Exhibit A to the Resolution).
