Dear Mayor and City Council Members,
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration regarding our proposal for The Signal Hill Community Spring “Friendraiser” on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 5:30 – 8:00 pm.
Following the success of last year’s Fall Fundraiser Arts and Appetizers event, the Foundation is planning a Paint and Sip evening. Each board member will host a table of 4 guests, who will enjoy appetizers, wine and an evening of painting, being instructed by local artist Joanne Morris.
Subject to COVID restrictions, we plan to have a maximum of 80 guests and will introduce them to the Foundation's many community programs and events, in the hope that they will become future friends and supporters of the Foundation
To ensure the success of this event, the Foundation is requesting support from the City to supply the following essential services and equipment and waive the restriction regarding alcohol use at public facilities. • 20 Tables and 80 Chairs
• Podium and microphones
• City personnel to set up and pack down furniture and trash disposal.
• Use of the Signal Point Terrace, from 12-9 pm (and reserve the community room should there be inclement weather).
• Permit live acoustic music, maximum 4 musicians, to be played on the Terrace during the event.
