Dear Mayor and City Council Members,
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration regarding our proposal for The Signal Hill Community Foundation’s Inaugural Gala on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 6.00 – 9:00 pm.
Following the success of last year’s Fall Fundraiser “ Arts and Appetizers” the Foundation is planning its Inaugural Gala event . Guests will enjoy a happy hour, including wine and tray passed appetizers, followed by a buffet dinner and awards, celebrating several Signal Hill community members for their contribution to our City.
Subject to COVID restrictions, we plan to have a maximum of 150 guests and hope to raise $10,000 to support the continued efforts of the Foundation's many community programs and events.
To ensure the success of this event, the Foundation is requesting support from the City to generously supply the following essential services and equipment. • 30 Tables and 200 Chairs
• Podium
• City personnel to set up and pack down furniture and trash disposal. • Use of both the Signal Point Terrace and Library Community Room (for the silent auction) from 12 -10 pm (and reserve the community room should there be inclement weather).
• Permit live music, maximum 4 musicians, to be played on the Terrace during the event.
• Please note that alcohol will be served.
