RESOLUTION NO. 2023-11-XXXX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SIGNAL HILL, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AND ADOPTING A SIDE LETTER OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SIGNAL HILL AND THE SIGNAL HILL POLICE OFFICERS’ ASSOCIATION WHEREAS, on June 22, 2021, the City Council of the City of Signal Hill adopted Resolution No. 2021-06-6622 for the purpose of adopting the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City and the Signal Hill Police Officers’ Association (SHPOA); and WHEREAS, subsequent to the adoption of the MOU, SHPOA representatives and City representatives met and conferred, and mutually agreed to amend the adopted 2021 – 2024 MOU, Section 36 – Longevity Pay, and implement the Police Lateral Recruitment Incentive Program, a Side Letter of Agreement between the City and SHPOA (Side Letter Agreement) subject to City Council approval, attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by this reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SIGNAL HILL AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Side Letter Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A is approved and adopted.
2. The Side Letter Agreement amends the MOU between the City and SHPOA.
